MANILA — Veteran actress Janice de Belen is set to receive the prestigious Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award for her monumental contributions to Philippine television and film. Starting her career in the 1980s with the iconic soap opera Flordeluna, she is widely regarded as the original Teleserye Queen.

Respected broadcaster Julius Babao will be honored with the Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement Award, cementing his legacy in journalism and public service. With years of work at major networks like TV5 and ABS-CBN, and his YouTube channel Julius Babao Unplugged amassing over 1 million subscribers, Babao continues to break new ground.

The documentary program i-Witness will be inducted into the Star Awards Hall of Fame, after winning 15 times in the Best Documentary Program category. This induction places i-Witness alongside TV legends such as Eat Bulaga! (Best Variety Show), Maalaala Mo Kaya (Best Drama Anthology), Bubble Gang (Best Gag Show), and ASAP (Best Musical Variety Show), along with renowned host Boy Abunda (Best Male Showbiz-Oriented Show Host).

As the digital age transforms television, 14 networks now battle it out for the Best TV Station award, a category once dominated by only two major networks.

Fans of the powerful tandems KimPau (Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino) and BarDa (Barbie Forteza and David Licauco) will be thrilled as these beloved duos claim the coveted German Moreno Power Tandem Award.

The PMPC Star Awards, Inc. has revealed the nominees for the 38th Star Awards for Television, covering TV programs aired from January to December 2024. The selection process was led by PMPC President Mell Navarro and Overall Chairman Rodel Fernando.

A night that promises to honor the best and brightest stars in Philippine television, the 38th Star Awards for Television is produced by Airtime Marketing, headed by Tess Celestino and directed by Eric Quizon.
