MANILA – A large portion of the Philippines will experience generally fair weather on Tuesday (11 Mar 2025), with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms expected due to the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Obet Badrina of PAGASA noted that the easterlies will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to Aurora and Quezon, where moderate to heavy rainfall could lead to flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also see isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
As of 2 a.m., no low-pressure areas were observed, with no tropical cyclones expected to form soon. However, PAGASA forecasts 6 to 13 tropical cyclones may develop or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) from March to August. In total, 16 to 19 cyclones are expected within the PAR this year, which is below the average.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will affect the eastern section of Luzon, while lighter winds and calmer seas are expected elsewhere.
