MANILA – The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to Mindanao and Eastern Visayas, according to PAGASA Friday (11 Apr 2025).

Affected areas include Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, and Soccsksargen. Moderate to heavy rainfall may trigger flash floods and landslides.

The rest of Mindanao may experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the same weather system, while the rest of the country will see similar conditions brought by the easterlies.

PAGASA also warned that severe thunderstorms could lead to localized flooding and landslides.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail across the country. No low-pressure area is expected to form or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
