MANILA – PAGASA has warned of dangerously high heat indices between 42°C and 45°C in 19 areas this Saturday (12 Apr 2025), urging the public to take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
Sangley Point in Cavite tops the list with a heat index of 45°C, followed by Dagupan City at 44°C, and ISU Echague (Isabela), Tanauan (Batangas), Iloilo City, and Tarlac all at 43°C.
Metro Manila is also affected, with NAIA in Pasay and Science Garden in Quezon City forecasted at 42°C, along with several other areas including Tuguegarao, Bulacan, Mindoro, Palawan, and Zamboanga del Norte.
The heat index reflects how hot it feels to the human body when humidity is factored in. PAGASA advises minimizing outdoor activities, staying hydrated, and wearing light clothing and sun protection.
Meanwhile, easterlies may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms across the country. Winds and seas are expected to be light to moderate.
