MANILA — Ten areas in the Philippines are set to endure dangerous heat levels this Holy Monday (14 Apr 2025), with the heat index expected to reach 44°C in several locations, according to PAGASA’s 5 a.m. forecast.

Sangley Point, Cavite
Dagupan City, Pangasinan
Tuguegarao City, Cagayan
Subic Bay, Olongapo City
San Ildefonso, Bulacan
Ambulong, Batangas
San Jose, Occidental Mindoro
Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte
PAGASA classifies a heat index of 42°C to 51°C as “dangerous,” posing risks such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and potential heat stroke with prolonged exposure.
While high temperatures scorch parts of the country, rains are also in the forecast.
Frontal system will bring rains to Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao.
Easterlies will cause scattered showers and thunderstorms in Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
The rest of the country may experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with a warning for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe weather.
Winds will be moderate in extreme Northern Luzon and light to moderate elsewhere, with no low-pressure area expected to form or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
