MANILA — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a weather advisory warning of varying conditions across the country today, Saturday (08 Mar 2025) with the Shear Line affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon and the Northeast Monsoon influencing the rest of Northern Luzon.

Forecast Weather Conditions:

Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte: Expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the Shear Line.

PAGASA warns of possible flash floods and landslides, especially with moderate to heavy rains.

Caraga and Palawan: Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected, brought on by Easterlies. These areas are also at risk for flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands: Cloudy skies with light rains, caused by the Northeast Monsoon. Flash floods or landslides are possible with moderate to heavy rainfall.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the Northeast Monsoon. No significant impact is expected.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country: Expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to Easterlies. Flash floods or landslides could occur during severe thunderstorms.

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions:

Northern and Central Luzon: Winds will be moderate to strong from the northeast, and coastal waters will range from moderate to rough (2.1 to 3.7 meters).

The rest of the country: Winds will be light to moderate from the east to northeast, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.5 meters).

The extremes recorded at the PAGASA Weather Station in Quezon City on March 7, 2025, are as follows:

Maximum temperature: 32.3°C at 2:00 PM

Minimum temperature: 23.4°C at 6:40 AM

Maximum relative humidity: 82% at 5:00 AM

Minimum relative humidity: 52% at 2:00 PM
