POLITICS IS THICKER THAN BLOOD, so it seems, for presidential sister Senator Imee Marcos who openly expressed strong support for former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who is now at loggerheads with the House of Representatives led by her first cousin Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.

Sen. Imee took note of her debt of gratitude to FPRRD for allowing the late deposed President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos Sr. to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

“Ang isang anak na humarap sa napakaraming pananaksak sa likod ay hindi kailanman tatahamik sa mga pagtataksil at pambabastos sa taong gumalang sa aking ama, noong pahintulutan nyang mahimlay ito sa libingang para sa kanya,” she said on her Facebook post.

At the same time, Sen. Imee reaffirmed her “friendship” to Vice President Sara Duterte, saying they are allies not only in working towards the country’s peace and progress, but also in combating corruption, hunger, and betrayal perpetrated by “dark forces” in the country.

However, she did not mention any reaction to former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo who has expressed her continuing support for the leadership of Romualdez despite her demotion.

FPGMA, Sen. Imee and Inday Sara are reputed to be the “inseperable powerful tres Marias” in Philipine politics.

Sen. Imee, who once served as Ilocos Norte representative, also did not comment on FPRRD’s tirade against the lower chamber, calling it “the most rotten institution.”

“Inuulit ko, noong 2015, ako ang una at kaisa-isang gobernador na nagdeklara ng suporta para kay Pangulong Duterte. At kahit ako ang nag-iisang matira, maninindigan ako para sa kanya,” she stressed.
