SoKor donates P36.8-M worth of medical supplies to PH

South Korea Ambassador to Manila Han Dong-man turned over PHP36.8M worth of donation to Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. on Monday. During the handover ceremony, Han said the Korean government and Korean companies put together efforts to provide the medical supplies to aid the Philippines in arresting the spread of Covid-19 and to “further deepen” the Seoul-Manila ties.

Locsin expressed “deep gratitude” for the Korean government and companies’ active support to assist Manila address the health crisis. The latest aid follows Seoul’s test kit donations worth US$500,000 last April 2020. According to the Embassy, South Korea is also in the process of providing separate additional humanitarian assistance to the Philippines worth US$500,000 from the Korea-Asean Cooperation Fund in the coming weeks.
