MANILA – The nation is set to endure another day of warm and humid weather, with elevated temperatures anticipated in various regions on Friday (26 April 2024).

“Alongside the prevailing humid conditions, sporadic rain showers are expected during the afternoon or evening,” remarked Aldczar Aurelio, forecaster at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The convergence of easterlies and localized thunderstorms will trigger isolated rain showers across the archipelago.

Temperatures are projected to soar to 38°C in Tuguegarao, 37°C in Metro Manila, and 35°C in Zamboanga and Davao.

Heat indices, reflecting what the temperature feels like to the human body when relative humidity is factored in, are expected to range from 42°C to 45°C in various areas, including:

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will persist across the country.
