MANILA — On the eve of the Commemorative Summit for the 50th ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation scheduled for December 16-18, 2023, activists gathered on Friday (15 Dec 20-23) at the Japan Embassy in Pasay City to stage a protest rally.
Holding placards highlighting concerns about Japan’s alleged “Dirty Energy Agenda,” the demonstrators vehemently opposed the alleged dumping by Japan of radioactive waste into the ocean.
Despite assertions from the Japanese government that the practice is safe, people worldwide have expressed alarm and are urging Japan to cease the dumping.
