MANILA — No less than the 29-year-old presidential son and House Senior Deputy Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos III has led stalwarts of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) in their intensified preparations to ensure a formidable local and national presence in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.

“We have to work double time,” the new rising political star of the Marcoses said during the PFP’s National Directorate meeting in Malacañang last Friday, January 12.

Political pundits told Maharlika NuMedia that if “Sandro plays his cards right,” he will be a shoo-in 2034 presidential elections when he will be 40 years old at that time.

The Constitution mandates that “No person may be elected President unless he is a natural-born citizen of the Philippines, a registered voter, able to read and write, and at least forty years (40) of age on the day of the election.”

PFP president and South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. heeded Rep. Marcos’ marching order to reinforce the party and form a strong slate for the elections next year.

The young Marcos also committed to support initiatives aimed at strengthening PFP’s political base while citing the importance of collaboration to establish the party as a political powerhouse.

“Let’s take it all upon ourselves to take the initiative not just ensure the internal affairs of the party are in order; we need to make our presence felt,” Sandro stressed.

For his part, Tamayo revealed that 23 of the country’s governors have already joined the PFP and he expects that more chief executives will join the party.

Tamayo added that he has started to discuss PFP’s plans for 2024 and the roadmap for more effective membership-building nationwide.
