MANILA – The Philippine weather bureau, PAGASA, forecasts warm temperatures and isolated rain showers across most parts of the country on Thursday (13 Mar 2025).

Weather forecaster Obet Badrina stated that the easterlies will bring warm weather to much of Luzon and Mindanao, though localized thunderstorms may trigger brief rain showers. Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, posing a risk for flash floods or landslides.

The rest of the country is expected to see isolated rain showers, primarily in the afternoon or evening.

Temperatures will peak at 34°C in Metro Manila, Zamboanga, Kalayaan Islands, Laoag, and Tuguegarao. Davao will reach a high of 33°C.

PAGASA also reported that no tropical cyclones or low-pressure areas are currently present inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Moderate winds and moderate coastal waters will affect the eastern regions, while the rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

MANILA – Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will affect parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao due to the easterlies, while the northeast monsoon (“amihan”) brings moderate to heavy rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Aurora, and Quezon, the state weather bureau PAGASA reported Friday (31 Jan 2025).

Residents in these areas should be on alert for possible flash floods and landslides. Light rains are also expected in Metro Manila, Rizal, Ilocos Region, and Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, strong winds and rough seas will prevail across Northern and Southern Luzon, as well as the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Visayas. Moderate to rough coastal waters are also expected in parts of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon.

PAGASA noted no tropical cyclones are currently forming in Philippine waters.

MANILA – The northeast monsoon, known as “amihan,” continues to cast its influence, painting the skies with clouds and rain showers over select areas in Luzon this Tuesday (26 Dec 2023).

In the latest weather forecast at 4 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) noted that the easterlies are also making their presence felt in Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.

Anticipate cloudy conditions with rain showers in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, and Quezon, all thanks to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, except for Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, the Bicol Region, and Palawan, may experience isolated light rain showers as a result of the northeast monsoon.

The easterlies, on the other hand, are set to deliver scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon.

MANILA — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila on All Saints’ Day.

This weather phenomenon is attributed to a low-pressure area (LPA) and a shear line.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA stated that the LPA over the coastal waters of Caramoran, Catanduanes, in combination with the shear line affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon, will also bring cloudy conditions and scattered rains to mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Bulacan, Calabarzon, Marinduque, and Camarines Norte.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon, known as “amihan,” is affecting the rest of Northern and Central Luzon, resulting in cloudy skies with rains over the Cordillera region, Nueva Ecija, and the remaining areas of Cagayan Valley.

The Ilocos region and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain showers.

In other regions, such as the Visayas, Mindanao, the remainder of Mimaropa, and the Bicol region, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected with isolated rains or thunderstorms, largely due to localized thunderstorm activity.

Here are the expected temperature ranges for some key areas:

Metro Manila: 25°C to 31°C
Baguio City: 16°C to 24°C
Laoag City: 23°C to 34°C
