MANILA — In the latest senatorial survey conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia Inc., former President Rodrigo Duterte continues to dominate as the leading choice for the 2025 elections.

The PAHAYAG End of Year voting disposition survey unveiled on Wednesday (27 Dec 2023) showcased Duterte garnering an impressive 48 percent of respondents, coupled with a noteworthy 59 percent trust rating.

Close on his heels is Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo, boasting a 44 percent voting predisposition and an equal 44 percent trust rating.

Notably, Tulfo experienced a slight dip in support in Mindanao, sliding from 50 percent to 44 percent, according to the polling firm.

Dr. Willie Ong, the former vice-presidential candidate, and cardiologist, secured a substantial 43 percent voting predisposition and an admirable 50 percent trust rating.

However, Ong witnessed a decline in trust in Mindanao, dropping from 50 percent to 42 percent, along with a decrease in support from 44 percent to 39 percent.

The PAHAYAG 2023 End of the Year Survey, conducted from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4, 2023, utilized purposive sampling with 1,500 respondents nationwide.

The sample was restricted to registered Filipino voters maintained by PureSpectrum, a US-based panel marketplace with a multinational presence.

Reelectionist Senators Christopher Bong Go (40%), Imee R. Marcos (38%), and Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa (36%) emerge as key figures in the early electoral landscape.

Notably, the National Capital Region (NCR) witnesses a surge in support for Go, rising from 29% to 38%, and for Marcos, climbing from 35% to 41%.

Other noteworthy figures in the survey include former Senate President Vicente “Tito Sotto” Sotto at 33%, former Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso at 31%, Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson at 31%, and former Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo at 27%. Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro stands at 26%, with Re-electionist Senator Pilar Juliana “Pia” Cayetano at 25%.

The PAHAYAG 2023 End of the Year Survey (P-EOY2023), conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia Inc., is an independent and non-commissioned survey.

The survey, conducted from 29 November to 04 December 2023, utilized purposive sampling, with 1,500 respondents randomly drawn from PureSpectrum’s market research panel of over 200,000 Filipinos maintained by its Singapore office.

The sample was restricted to registered Filipino voters, emphasizing PureSpectrum’s multinational presence as a US-based panel marketplace.
