MANILA — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has emphasized that minors traveling unaccompanied to attend the “Eras” tour must obtain clearance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The BI issued this reminder in anticipation of hundreds of young adults and minors traveling to Singapore to attend Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” scheduled for March 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco emphasized the necessity for young Swifties under 18 years old to secure parental consent when traveling alone.

“We anticipate a surge in travelers during the first week of March, coinciding with the Taylor Swift concert period and the onset of the summer season,” stated BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco.

Tansingco further mentioned that approximately 150,000 Filipino departures are expected during the first week of March, a figure that may escalate due to Filipino tourists attending the concert.

LOS ANGELES — Taylor Swift’s groundbreaking Eras Tour has set an unprecedented milestone, crossing the billion-dollar mark and securing the top spot on Pollstar’s 2023 year-end charts.

Swift’s Eras Tour not only claimed the coveted No. 1 position worldwide and in North America but also raked in an astounding $1.04 billion, drawing crowds with 4.35 million tickets sold across 60 tour dates, as reported by the renowned concert trade publication.

Pollstar’s data, compiled from box office reports, venue capacity estimates, historical Pollstar venue ticket sales data, and other comprehensive research conducted from Nov. 17, 2022, to Nov. 15, 2023, underscores the monumental success of Swift’s tour.

While representatives for Pollstar have yet to clarify if past tour data was adjusted to account for 2023 inflation in declaring Swift as the first artist to breach the billion-dollar threshold, the achievement remains a historic feat.

Additionally, Swift’s impact extended beyond ticket sales, as she generated approximately $200 million in merchandise revenue.

Furthermore, her tour’s cinematic adaptation, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” has reportedly amassed around $250 million in sales, solidifying its status as the highest-grossing concert film of all time.

The romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is not a calculated NFL publicity stunt, according to an NFL marketing executive. Recent speculation suggested that their relationship was a manufactured effort to boost interest in football.

Travis Kelce, a prominent player for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been romantically involved with Taylor Swift, who has attended three of his last four NFL games to support him. Her presence at these games, both on television and in the stadiums, drew thousands of Swift fans, but this led some to speculate that their relationship might be a mere publicity ploy. Additionally, Swift’s “Eras Tour” movie recently premiered, potentially benefiting from the added attention.

Marissa Solis, the NFL’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, strongly denies any involvement of the NFL in the alleged publicity stunt. In an interview with Deadline, she stated, “People think that we may have had something to do with it. Absolutely not. We knew nothing. We knew what you guys knew and followed on social media. Travis went to her concert and asked her to maybe come to a game. We had no idea that she was going to show up. And once it happened, she showed up to a game, and in an instant, literally in a second, it went viral.”

Solis also mentioned that the NFL was prepared to create content like ‘Football 101 for Swifties’ to help fans of Taylor Swift who were unfamiliar with football better understand the game. She emphasized that there are thousands of dedicated NFL fans who are not familiar with Taylor Swift.

Over the weekend, the couple spent time together in New York, with Swift initially flying to Kansas City to watch the Chiefs play against the Denver Broncos. It remains uncertain whether she will be present at Arrowhead Stadium for the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday, as her tour schedule is quite busy. Her next Eras tour show is scheduled for November 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After this weekend, the Chiefs have a game in Denver against the Broncos on October 29, followed by a match with the Miami Dolphins in Germany on November 5.
