Accompanied by DILG personnel, MMDA General Manager Usec. Procopio Lipana, conducted a thorough inspection at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) on Thursday (21 Dec 2023). The purpose of this initiative was to ensure the organized and secure transportation of commuters embarking on journeys to their respective provinces in time for the Christmas celebration.
As eager travelers patiently queued in long lines, anticipation filled the air for the announcement of their departing buses. The collective goal is to facilitate a seamless and enjoyable Christmas holiday as families reunite with their loved ones.

Approximately 1.6 million travelers are expected to converge at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in anticipation of the upcoming November 1 and November 2 holidays, known as All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day and the stream of passengers already started as shown here Saturday, with some of them patiently awaiting the arrival and departure of their bus schedules.
In collaboration with various government agencies including the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the PITX management said they are well-prepared for the anticipated surge in travelers.
Jason Salvador, the head of Corporate Affairs and Government Relations at PITX, noted that preparations for Undas 2023 have been in progress since the beginning of October to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers.
“As we approach this long weekend, just a few days before the Barangay and SK Elections and All Saints’ Day, passengers are flocking to the terminal to return to their hometowns to vote and observe the upcoming All Saints’ Day. But we are prepared,” Salvador added.
