The atmosphere in every nook and cranny in Metro Manila and elsewhere in the country suddenly became festive with the kick-off of the short 10-day campaign period for the Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay elections on Thursday (19 Oct 2023).
Candidates for Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan and their throngs of supporters made their way into each and every street of their respective bailiwicks, distributing leaflets and other campaign paraphernalia as they took advantage and maximized the short span of wooing votes.
Meantime, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) warned candidates from engaging in vote-buying and other poll offenses. The campaign period will last until October 28, 2023. October 29 is rest day and Oct 30 is E-Day.\
