Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla said Wednesday he is ready to forgive Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for the alleged false accusation against him linking him to the passing of a convoy at the EDSA bus carousel this morning.

Revilla, however, said that MMDA should explain.

“Nagdusa ako apat na taon, anim na buwan sa kulungan pero pinatawad ko na ‘yung mga taong nagkasala sa akin e. ‘Yan pa kaya [na] napakasimple? Pero dapat magpaliwanag siya dahil ayaw ko na ‘yung mga maliliit na tao ay ma-perhuwisyo din ng mga maling paratang,” the senator said.

Bong Nebrija, Task Force Special Operations Unit Head of the MMDA, earlier gave a statement, as he allegedly made the decision to let the convoy pass.

“I made the decision to let it go… based on the information that was given to me by the enforcer,” Nebrija said.

MANILA — Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla denied the reports that he was apprehended in the EDSA Carousel Bus Lane on Wednesday.

Revilla explained that he does not pass EDSA-Mandaluyong City going to Senate as he lives in the South.

“There is absolutely no truth to the malicious report that I was apprehended using the EDSA carousel busway,” the senator said.

“My daily commute is from the south to the Senate and there is no possibility I will be on EDSA in Mandaluyong. When attending official functions in the north, I take the skyway from and back to the south,” he furthered.

The lawmaker said that he would ask the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to explain why his name was “being dragged and smeared.”

Meanwhile, MMDA Special Operations Unit Bong Nebrija confirmed that the car apprehended was convoy of Revilla.

According to the official, when they saw one of the drivers of the vehicles belonging to the convoy, they said that the senator was on board and he rolled down the window of the vehicle.
