MANILA — United we stand, divided we fall.

This is the gist of former military rebel leader-turned-peace advocate Gregorio ‘Gringo” Honasan who issued a statement on Saturday calling for a closed-door meeting among President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R Marcos Jr., former presidents Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Joseph “Erap” Estrada to resolve their political issues

“As a concerned private citizen, I raise my voice to call for sobriety and calm between our two great leaders, President Bongbong Marcos and former President Rodrigo Duterte. We respectfully and humbly appeal to President Marcos Jr. to extend the hand of unity to former President Duterte,” said Honasan who also served as senator.

He stressed that the country’s leaders must come together to safeguard the country’s institutions from unmanageable and irreversible damage.

Honasan proposed that the closed-door meeting of the “four political titans” should be held away from the media spotlight.

Political pundits told Maharlika NuMedia that Honasan is making his presence felt for his 2025 senatorial comeback.
