MANILA — In a momentous event at the Department of Tourism’s Central Office in Makati City, Michelle Marquez Dee, who achieved acclaim as a top 10 semi-finalist in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, was officially appointed as the Tourism Ambassador of the Philippines.

The announcement took place during a courtesy call to Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Dee, who had earlier represented the Philippines in the 2023 Miss Universe beauty pageant recently in El Salvador, demonstrated her commitment to promoting Philippine tourism by carrying the impactful slogan ‘Love the Philippines’ during her international engagements.

Sec. Cristina Garcia Frasco expressed her gratitude on behalf of the Department of Tourism for Michelle Dee’s unwavering support, citing her significant contributions to showcasing the beauty and allure of the Philippines on the global stage.

IN AN effort to better serve local and international tourists, the Department of Tourism (DOT) launched on Monday (02 Oct 2023) its Tourist Assistance Call Center (TACC) at the DOT office’s Multipurpose Hall, Makati City.

DOT Sec. Cristina Garcia-Frasco said the TACC will also serve as a one-stop shop center for foreign and local tourists so they can experience easy access to different local destinations in the country.

The TACC will also provide tourists with the necessary information to assure them of a safe and secure environment while traveling to tourist spots in the country.
