MANILA — The Department of Labor and Employment is offering free rides for workers on Labor Day, May 1, on both the LRT-2 and MRT-3 lines.

According to an announcement on Facebook, the complimentary rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This initiative is being undertaken in partnership with the Department of Transportation.

DOLE has stated that commuters will need to present their IDs to avail of the free rides.

“Please present your company ID (or government-issued ID for those aged 18 and above),” as stated in the announcement.

MANILA — Solo parents will enjoy complimentary rides on the Metro Rail Transit (MRT)-3 this Saturday, April 20, as announced by the Department of Transportation MRT-3.

The free rides will be available during peak hours of line operation, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Commuters are required to present their solo parent ID to station personnel to avail of the free ride.

“We salute all solo parents who tirelessly sacrifice to provide for their children,” stated Transportation Assistant Secretary for Railways and MRT-3 Officer-in-Charge Jorjette Aquino.

“We desire that through this complimentary service, we can bring joy to them on their special day. We hope to convey our admiration and appreciation for all the sacrifices made by solo parents,” Aquino added.
