Nine (9) inmates bolted from their cells in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday (Nov 😎 at MPD-Station 1 in Raxabago, Tondo, Manila the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said.
Police Colonel Arnold Thomas Ibay, the Director of the Manila Police District (MPD), disclosed that the escapees accordingly dismantled the steel bars in their cells to facilitate their exit.
However, hours after their escape, three (3) of the nine inmates were swiftly hauled back by MPD operatives who successfully tracked their whereabouts, while the six remain at large.
Concurrently, the MPD is conducting an inquiry to determine if there were any shortcomings on the part of Station 1’s police personnel.
Photographs reveal welders working on repairing and reinforcing additional steel bars on the cell from which the nine inmates made their way out.
