MANILA — No less than President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday (08 April 2024) assured self-proclaimed “Appointed Son of God” and “Owner of the Universe” Pastor Apollo Carreon Quiboloy that all proceedings in his child and sexual abuse cases would be “fair”.

The President made the assurance after former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s spiritual adviser sought “written guarantees” from PBBM, together with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) stating that the “US government would not interfere” with his cases.

“Ang maipapangako ko all the proceedings will be fair. Now, as to the involvement of the United States, malayo pa yan eh.  That’s going to take years. So I don’t think that it is something he should worry about,” Marcos Jr. vowed.

President Marcos brushed off Quiboloy’s demands as “tail-wagging” the government.

Quiboloy, who founded the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) in Duterte’s bailiwick Davao City, recently released an audio statement claiming that he is not in hiding.

He also demanded protection from extradition as he also had pending cases in the United States.

“If you fail to give in written form these conditions from the Office of the President, Office of the Secretary of Justice, PNP, NBI, and CIDG, you will never see my face,” Quiboloy warned.

But the Department of Justice on Monday (08 April 2024) trashed Quiboloy’s conditions, saying he should not set conditions for his surrender.

“Quiboloy cannot impose any conditions. He must surrender not according to his terms but according to the terms of the law. The law applies to all, without exception,” Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla stressed in a statement.
