MANILA — Ironic as it seems that the self-proclaimed “Appointed Son of God” and “Owner of the Universe” Pastor Apollo Carreon Quiboloy (PACQ) owned some guns as the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday (26 April 2024) announced the cancellation of gun permits of  Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader and spiritual adviser of former president Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo divulged this information after PNP chief Rommel Marbil approved the firearms and explosives office’s recommendation for such.

A Rappler report recently claimed Quiboloy, the leader of the controversial Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), has a collection of at least 19 firearms whose estimated worth is about P2. 3 million ($41,000).

These are all documented, Rappler said.

The controversial religious leader was given three pending arrest warrants from the Senate and two other local courts.

Quiboloy has also been placed by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on its most wanted list on allegations of “conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion and sex trafficking of children; sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion; conspiracy; bulk cash smuggling.”

However, on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila, 25 April 2024), Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel “Babe” Romualdez said US authorities have yet to issue a request for Quiboloy’s extradition.
