OLONGAPO CITY — Energized under the leadership of District Collector Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, the Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic (BOC-POS) has awarded Certificates of Commendation to its employees following a record-breaking revenue achievement last April when it exceeded its revenue target by collecting a total of P5.865 billion, surpassing the monthly goal of P4.452 billion by 31.74%, with an excess collection totaling P1.413 billion.
Morales II expressed his gratitude to the men and women of BOC-POS during the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday (6 May 2024).
“The relentless efforts of our team have not only exceeded expectations but also demonstrated the impactful results of strategic initiatives in line with Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio’s 5-Point Priority Program. The Port of Subic remains steadfast in its commitment to border protection, trade facilitation, and the collection of lawful revenues, continuing to deliver exceptional results,” Morales II said.
Recently, the BOC-POS concluded its 3rd Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC) meeting at the Office of the District Collector.
The meeting chaired by the BOC-POS district collector was attended by key BOC officials and members of the CICAC, representing various industry stakeholders.
“The BOC remains dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment with our industry partners. This meeting underscores our commitment to responsiveness and continuous improvement in customs operations,” Morales II noted.
During the session, participants discussed key issues and initiatives aimed at streamlining customs procedures, enhancing trade facilitation, and addressing industry concerns.
