Carlo Malana, President and CEO of STT GDC Philippines, receives the Outstanding Project Implementation Award at the Asia-Pacific Awards Gala Dinner in Hong Kong.

The Cavite facility of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres Philippines (STT GDC Philippines) was recently awarded the prestigious Asia Pacific Cloud & Datacenter Award in the Projects category by W.Media, a key technology publisher and community hub in Asia Pacific.

This esteemed recognition for STT Cavite 1, STT GDC Philippines’ first facility at its campus in General Trias, underscores unparalleled excellence in data center development, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards innovation, efficiency, and sustainable design.

“Winning this award really highlights the hard work, creativity, and expertise of our entire team. It’s a clear sign of our ongoing commitment to set higher standards in data center development and customer requirement implementation across the country. More importantly, it reinforces our promise to provide exceptional service to every customer. This honor motivates us to continue our robust expansion plans, meeting the growing demands of the market.” said Carlo Malana, President and CEO of STT GDC Philippines.

The award was decided by a jury of global industry experts based on rigorous criteria covering project objectives, innovative design, timing, cost control, and sustainability. Malana received the award on November 30 at the Asia-Pacific Awards Gala Dinner and Ceremony at the Kowloon Shangri-La in Hong Kong.

STT Cavite 1 is a 4.3 MW facility strategically situated just south of the country’s capital region. It is specifically designed to foster the growth and development of companies in vital business districts. Renowned for its alignment with Tier III standards and its enterprise-grade infrastructure, this data center is a preferred choice for businesses seeking geographical diversity and top-tier technological solutions.

It is one of seven facilities of STT GDC Philippines in Metro Manila, Cavite and Davao which underwent a substantial expansion to serve growing data center service needs in the Philippines and the region.

In May, it broke ground on the STT Fairview data center campus, which will become the largest interconnected and carrier-neutral data center in the Philippines at a capacity of 124 MW upon its completion in early 2025.

Last month, STT GDC Philippines also announced the start of construction on STT Cavite 2, which will rise as a two-storey building with a gross floor area of over 4,500 square meters, and deliver up to 6 MW of total IT capacity.
