MANILA — No tropical cyclone is forecasted to occur in the Philippines during Holy Week, according to PAGASA on Tuesday (26 March 2024).

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) assured that there are no anticipated weather disturbances entering the country until the conclusion of Holy Week.

However, easterlies are expected to bring rain to certain areas of the archipelago on Tuesday.

Benison Estareja from PAGASA mentioned, “We do not see any weather disturbance entering the country until the end of Holy Week.”

PAGASA has forecasted scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Quezon.

These areas might experience moderate to heavy rains, potentially leading to flash floods or landslides.

Estareja advised the public to carry umbrellas as rain showers are likely due to the easterlies. He also mentioned that most parts of Luzon may encounter rain showers in the afternoon.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are expected over the northern and eastern sections of the country. However, winds are anticipated to be light to moderate elsewhere, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Temperature forecasts are as follows: Metro Manila, ranging from 25°C to 33°C; Baguio City, 16°C to 26°C; Laoag City, 24°C to 33°C; Legazpi City, 25°C to 30°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 32°C; Puerto Princesa City, 26°C to 33°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 34°C.
