MANILA — Fair weather is anticipated across the Philippines on Monday, with isolated rain showers attributed to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms, according to the weather bureau.

“Predominantly fair conditions will encompass a significant portion of the country, although isolated rain showers are probable from the afternoon into the evening,” stated Obet Badrina, a forecaster from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

PAGASA cautioned that severe thunderstorms may lead to flash floods or landslides.

In the meantime, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected throughout the entire country.

Badrina mentioned that no tropical cyclones are anticipated to enter or develop within the country for the week.

Furthermore, the easterlies are predicted to persist throughout the week, while the northeast monsoon or “amihan” could reemerge over the weekend.
