MANILA – According to the latest bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), a combination of the northeast monsoon or “amihan” and the easterlies will bring partly cloudy skies and scattered rain showers to various parts of the country on Saturday (02 Mar 2024).

The northeast monsoon is anticipated to usher in cloudy skies and light precipitation over Cagayan Valley, while the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, along with Aurora, may experience partly cloudy to overcast conditions with occasional light rain.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and other areas are likely to witness a mix of partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated episodes of rain showers or thunderstorms due to the influence of the easterlies and localized convective activity.

Expect strong winds and choppy seas over Northern Luzon, while moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal conditions are forecasted for the eastern portions of Central and Southern Luzon, as well as the eastern regions of the Visayas and Mindanao.

Elsewhere in the archipelago, anticipate light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

Temperature-wise, Metro Manila is expected to see readings ranging from 23°C to 32°C; Baguio City, 15°C to 24°C; Laoag City, 21°C to 30°C; Legazpi City, 21°C to 30°C; Metro Cebu, 25°C to 31°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 25°C to 32°C.
