Maintenance personnel from the Metro Manila Development Authority gather assorted flotsam and tons of trash washed ashore by typhoon Egay into the multi-million-peso artificial Dolomite Beach along Roxas Boulevard (Manila Bay) near the US Embassy.

Volunteers from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the lead agency of the Dolomite Beach project, are also featured in the photo, lending a helping hand in collecting trash washed up the whole stretch of the Roxas Blvd. shoreline on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

A “return engagement” of some sort is highly anticipated as another typhoon may enter PAR on Sunday, the state weather bureau Pag-asa said.
