MANILA — Toby Nebrida, the newly appointed acting General Manager of People’s Television Network Inc. (PTV 4), took his oath on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was sworn in by Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil.
Nebrida pledged to “listen” to the employees, emphasizing that freedom of speech is an integral part of their democracy.
“I will listen. This is part of our society, our democracy, and the expression of opinions,” he said.
He also assured that he would “ensure a smooth and orderly transition from the previous leadership to my leadership.”
The newly appointed official expressed his gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for the appointment.
Nebrida previously served as the spokesperson for the Department of Migrant Workers.
