MANILA — The new officers of the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI) took their oath on Wednesday (June 5, 2024).
Mrs. Love Marie Ongpauco-Escudero, also known as Heart Evangelista, is the new president of SSFI following her husband’s appointment, Chiz Escudero, as Senate President.
She revealed feeling “nervous” about her new position.
“I’m nervous. Of course, because this isn’t my world,” Escudero’s wife said.
“But in a sense, even though it’s not my world, I won’t be doing the same thing. So you won’t be seeing me just attending events for photo opportunities. I really want to make a difference and continually effect change, not just as an actress placed in this position. I want to work. So I’m excited in a way,” she added.

Mayor Lani Cayetano – Chairperson, Committee on Arts & Culture
Mr. Mark Lapid – Chairperson, Committee on Ways and Means
