In a significant move towards alleviating congestion in correctional facilities nationwide, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) released 141 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) at Manila City Jail in Sta. Cruz on Friday, December 8, 2023.
Families were visibly emotional as their loved ones were granted freedom through the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) under Project LINO (Layang Inaasam sa Napapanahong Okasyon) at the Male Dorm of Manila City Jail.
Project LINO serves as a positive initiative, encouraging PDLs to actively engage in jail programs and activities, underscoring their commitment to transformation and becoming better citizens.
