MANILA — Actress Heart Evangelista has candidly revealed her experience with lip fillers, acknowledging that she entrusted someone without proper licensure to perform the procedure, resulting in uneven lips.
Heart expressed her trauma over the incident and recounted her ordeal:
“I did get lip fillers, I just didn’t want to discuss it initially because I was deeply traumatized. I deviated from Dr. Aivee’s expertise and sought treatment from someone very close to me who lacked the necessary license for the procedure,” Heart disclosed while demonstrating the application of lipliner and lipstick.
“I trusted him, but I was misled. I went ahead with the lip filler without knowing exactly what he injected into my lips. As a result, my lips became uneven, and many of you noticed and criticized me for it. I hesitated to address it. Eventually, I sought help from the same individual, who, although not a doctor but a nurse, convinced me that they could rectify the situation. Unfortunately, the outcome was still unsatisfactory, with my lips remaining uneven,” Heart explained.
“I’ve learned never to be swayed into making such decisions again. Moreover, it’s technically illegal because he lacked the necessary license, constituting malpractice. I endured immense discomfort and underwent corrective procedures by a licensed doctor to rectify the damage,” Heart elaborated.
“When you place trust, sometimes you end up feeling foolish. I was in denial for a while, convinced that person cared for me, only to realize I fell victim to malpractice. However, I choose to view it as a lesson learned. While I could harbor resentment, I opt to chalk it up to experience,” Heart concluded.
