TO MARK the 51st anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines by the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., employees of the Park Development Office of Manila City were actively engaged in cleaning the Martial Law Memorial Wall situated at the Kartilya ng Katipunan, adjacent to Manila City Hall on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. It may be recalled that at around 7:17 pm on September 23, 1972, then-President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. announced that he had placed the entirety of the Philippines under martial law, through Presidential Proclamation No. 1081, which was dated September 21, 1972.
