MANILA – Farm Fresh secured its second consecutive win in Pool A of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference, defeating Nxled, 25-16, 25-15, 25-17, at Philsports Arena, Pasig City, on Saturday (03 Aug 2024).
Colombian import Yeny Murillo led the Foxies with 21 attacks and one block, while Trisha Gayle Tubo contributed 16 attacks. Farm Fresh built on their recent victory over Galeries Tower, boosting their confidence.
“That win in our last game was a huge boost because we carried the energy into this match and never let it drop,” said the 5-foot-8 Tubo of Adamson University. “It feels so good to see the teamwork building up. We help each other, even those on the bench contribute in one way or another.”
Caitlin Viray and Chinnie Arroyo added seven and six points, respectively. Skipper Louie Romero recorded 13 excellent sets, while Janel Delerio had nine excellent digs and four receptions.
For Nxled, Chiara Permentilla finished with 12 attacks, and import Meegan Hart added five attacks and two aces. The Chameleons now have one win and three losses.
The top three teams from each pool will advance to the second-round crossover, with the top eight moving on to the knockout quarterfinals.
