MANILA — Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos has urged Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to come forward, asserting that if he is innocent, he has nothing to fear.

“Kung talagang wala siyang kasalanan, harapin niya ‘to at huwag siyang matakot dito,” Abalos said. “Para matapos na lahat, let’s face the court, Pastor Quiboloy.”

Earlier, 2,000 police officers were deployed to serve a warrant of arrest against Quiboloy at the KOJC compound in Davao City.

In April, a Pasig City court issued an arrest warrant for Quiboloy on charges of qualified human trafficking. He also faces an arrest warrant for child and sexual abuse charges issued by the Davao City Regional Trial Court.

Quiboloy has been in hiding since then.

Search operations are ongoing at the KOJC compound. Authorities claim there may be an underground bunker on the property where Quiboloy and his co-accused could be hiding.
