MANILA – Bianca Pagdanganan narrowly missed a medal at the Paris Olympics, finishing tied for 4th in women’s golf. Despite a strong performance, her hopes were dashed by a late birdie from China’s Janet Lin. New Zealand’s Lydia Ko won the gold, completing her Olympic medal set.

Pagdanganan expressed pride in her effort but highlighted the need for more support for Filipino athletes, emphasizing that their achievements could be greater with proper backing. She and fellow golfer Dottie Ardina, who finished 13th, also faced issues with the lack of official uniforms. Despite the challenges, the Philippine team secured two golds from gymnast Carlos Yulo and two bronzes from boxers Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas.
