LOS ANGELES — Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, marking the end of their second marriage.

The filing was made on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, with the date of separation listed as April 26, 2024.

The news was first reported by TMZ, which also noted that Lopez did not mention any prenuptial agreement in her petition.

The couple, famously known as “Bennifer,” rekindled their romance and married twice in 2022, after initially dating and getting engaged in the early 2000s.

Their relationship, which included two engagements and a pair of weddings, has been a frequent subject of media coverage.

Lopez and Affleck first came together in the early 2000s, starring in films like “Gigli” and “Jersey Girl” before their first split, partly attributed to the pressures of public life.

They reunited and celebrated their love with a quickie wedding in Las Vegas in July 2022, a moment Lopez described as “the best of my life” in her newsletter.

The news of their divorce brings an end to a high-profile romance that has captivated the public and dominated tabloid headlines for years.
