MANILA — The Quezon City local government is reminding the public and political candidates to responsibly place political banners and tarpaulins within the city.
The local government stated that any political propaganda in Quezon City should only be displayed in designated common posting areas as specified by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), per City Ordinance Nos. SP-2021 and SP-2010.
The ordinance prohibits election materials from being posted on Meralco poles, public utilities, and facilities such as street signs, traffic lights, signal posts, bridges, and overpasses within QC.
“Prohibited items include streamers, tarpaulins, tin plates, stickers, pamphlets, decals, printed notices, signboards, billboards, and other advertising paraphernalia,” the local government clarified.
