MANILA — “Walang Bicolanong umuurong. Tuloy tayo sa Senado.”

Thus said Agri party-list Representative Wilbert “Manoy” Lee who recently took his oath before Aksyon Demokatiko President and former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Party Chairman Ernest Ramel Jr. at the Sheraton Hotel Manila Bay.

“Bukod sa agrikultura, napakarami pang problema ng Pilipinas ang kailangan ng agaran at pangmatagalang solusyon. Nakahanda po tayong tumugon at gampanan ang mas malaking responsibilidad ng paglilingkod sa sambayanan,” Lee declared.

Lee has also been pushing for additional benefits for members of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

Passionate about his advocacy for increased health benefits for the Filipino people, Lee grabbed the microphone from Senior Deputy Minority Leader Paul Daza while the latter was moving to terminate the deliberations on the Department of Health (DOH) budget on the final night of House plenary deliberation last Sept. 25.

Lee had asked to have the discussions postponed due to some of his concerns but he was over ruled since the House plenary deliberation has to wind up.
