MANILA — Victoria Theilvig of Denmark was crowned Miss Universe 2024, defeating 124 other contestants during the highly anticipated pageant held in Mexico on Sunday (17 Nov 2024).

Theilvig’s victory marks Denmark’s first-ever Miss Universe title.

The crown was passed by the outgoing titleholder, Sheynnis Palacios of Venezuela, who concluded her reign by crowning Theilvig.

Philippines Misses the Top 12

Chelsea Manalo of the Philippines, who was aiming to become the country’s fifth Miss Universe titleholder, fell short of making the Top 12, ending her journey in the competition’s Top 30.

Despite her early exit, Manalo’s inclusion in the Top 30 extended the Philippines’ streak of making the first cut in Miss Universe to two years in a row. Last year, Michelle Dee advanced to the Top 10.
