EDUCATION Undersecretary Revsee Escobedo vowed to support the teachers and personnel of the agency who will serve in the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on October 30.
Some 490,000 DepEd employees will be deployed for the elections.
Teachers and other government personnel who will serve in the elections will undergo orientation and training.
Escobedo, chairman of the DepEd Election Task Force, was among officials who attended the Multi-Agency Send-Off and Turnover Ceremony of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, DepEd, and Commission on Elections on October 23.
Meanwhile, the PNP deployed more than 187,000 members while the AFP will send around 117,000 personnel. More than 30,000 PCG members will also be tapped.
PNP Chief General Benjamin Acorda Jr. expressed his full support to those who will serve during the elections.
“Your devotion to this duty is vital, but it must be matched with the same level of care and responsibility for yourselves. Prioritize your well-being, both physically and mentally. We are at our strongest when we care for ourselves and each other,” he said.
