MANILA — In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Pasay City local government unit (LGU) organized a job fair specifically tailored for women. The event aimed to provide opportunities for female empowerment and economic independence.
Featuring over 6,000 job vacancies both locally and abroad, the fair offered a wide range of employment prospects for women from various backgrounds.
In addition to job opportunities, the Pasay LGU also provided various programs and activities on Friday. These included free skill and livelihood training sessions, medical check-ups, and even a cooking contest and Zumba dance exercise to promote overall well-being.
The event kicked off at 8 am at the Cuneta Astrodome, drawing in enthusiastic participants eager to explore new career avenues and enhance their skills.
Expressing her support, Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano emphasized the city’s commitment to empowering women and acknowledging their significant contributions to society.
