MANILA – Despite being on the run, Wesley Guo, brother of ousted Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, has not yet been charged with any case, according to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).
This was revealed during the Kapihan sa QC forum on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
“Wesley hasn’t been charged with anything yet. Currently, only Shiela, Alice, Siemen, their supposed parent or guardian Angelito Guo – Alice’s father – and Lin Wen Yi, Shiela’s aunt, are facing charges,” said PAOCC spokesperson Winston John Casio.
On September 5, Atty. Stephen David, the Guos’ legal counsel, stated that Wesley had expressed a desire to surrender to authorities. David advised him there was no need to remain in hiding as there was no legal basis for it.
Previous reports identified Wesley Guo as the boyfriend of Cassandra Ong, an incorporator of Whirlwind Corporation, which leased land to Lucky South 99, a Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) raided in Pampanga last June.
