MANILA – The easterlies affecting the eastern regions of Luzon and the Visayas are expected to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to these areas, the weather bureau announced on Tuesday (15 Oct 2024).

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), provinces like Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon could experience moderate to heavy rains, which may lead to flash floods or landslides.

Additionally, isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are forecast for the rest of Luzon and Eastern Visayas due to the influence of the easterlies.

Localized thunderstorms may also bring isolated rain showers to other parts of the country, although no low pressure area is currently being monitored for potential cyclone development, PAGASA noted.

Across the archipelago, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate sea conditions will persist.
