MANILA – The country can expect generally fair weather on Wednesday, though isolated rain showers are likely, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.

Easterlies affecting Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will bring scattered rain showers or thunderstorms. Localized thunderstorms could also cause brief rain showers in other areas across the country.

While these thunderstorms may bring light rain, severe instances could potentially lead to flash floods or landslides, PAGASA warned.

No low-pressure area (LPA) has been detected, based on PAGASA’s latest monitoring, indicating no immediate threat of larger weather disturbances.

Despite the scattered rains, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected to prevail throughout the archipelago.
