MANILA — House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo and the ACT-CIS party-list distributed over 2,000 sacks of rice and P1 million in cash on Thursday (October 24, 2024) to support victims of Typhoon “Kristine” in the Bicol region.

“This is our humble contribution from ACT-CIS and the Erwin Tulfo Action Center to help our fellow citizens affected by floods and the typhoon in Bicol,” Tulfo said in a statement.

Tulfo, a Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) Commodore, visited the office of his chief of staff, PCGA Auxiliary Cdr. Jerico Javier, to personally hand over P1 million in cash and 1,000 sacks of rice to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), which will manage distribution to those impacted by Typhoon Kristine.

Additionally, Tulfo’s office and ACT-CIS delivered 500 more sacks of rice to the Angat Buhay Foundation, headed by former Vice President Leni Robredo.

“You can count on us at ACT-CIS to continue helping, no matter the time or circumstance,” said Jeff Soriano of ACT-CIS. “We are always looking for ways to assist our fellow Filipinos.”

Another 500 sacks of rice were distributed across Iriga and other areas in the Bicol region.
