MANILA — Cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers will persist throughout the Philippines, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Saturday bulletin at 4 a.m.
The easterlies are responsible for the ongoing partly cloudy to cloudy skies, accompanied by sporadic rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA also warns of potential severe thunderstorms that could lead to flash floods or landslides in vulnerable areas.
Meanwhile, Batanes and Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands, will experience continued cloudy skies with light rains due to the influence of the northeast monsoon or “amihan” affecting extreme Northern Luzon.
Northern Luzon will encounter moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the archipelago will have light to moderate wind speeds and slight to moderate seas.
Temperature ranges for key areas are as follows: Metro Manila, 24°C to 33°C; Baguio City, 17°C to 26°C; Laoag City, 25°C to 33°C; Legazpi City, 24°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 32°C; Puerto Princesa City, 26°C to 32°C; and Metro Davao, 26°C to 34°C.
