MANILA – Expect continued overcast conditions with light rain across most of the country this Sunday (04 Feb 2024), the state weather bureau said.
According to the 4 a.m. bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will influence Northern Luzon, while the easterlies will dominate the eastern regions of Visayas and Mindanao.
Cloudy skies with light rain are anticipated in Cagayan Valley and Aurora province.
In the Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with occasional rain showers or thunderstorms attributed to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may occur.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds are forecasted in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, with coastal waters ranging from moderate to rough.
Northern Luzon will experience moderate winds and coastal waters.
For the rest of the country, light to moderate winds and coastal waters are predicted.
