MANILA — Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretary Jesse Andres said that Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio should not use such words publicly as officials should be role models of the people.
“Sa aming palagay, hindi tama na may ganito tayong gawain o pananalita dahil ang opisyales ng gobyerno, tinitingnan po ‘yan bilang guide o modelo ng ating mamamayan,” Andres said.
He furthered that they are eyeing to file charges against Duterte-Carpio, “possibly sedition or even higher offenses.”
“Sa aming palagay, mayroong nalabag na criminal laws kagaya ng grave threats possibly sedition or even higher offenses na hindi ko muna babanggitin ngayon dahil ongoing pa ang imbestigasyon.”
“Let us remain calm and bring back sobriety.”
Andres earlier said they are eyeing conspiracy and have already enlisted various government agencies to look into the whereabouts and identity of the assassins supposedly hired by the Vice President.
Earlier, Marcos said that he will not let this pass.
“‘Yang ganyang pagtatangka ay hindi dapat pinapalampas. ‘Yan ay aking papalagan. As a democratic country, we need to uphold the rule of law,” the President stressed.
